  1. Bring water to boil. Stir in brown sugar. Add onions and simmer for 30 minutes. Stir in vinegar, apples, seasoning and zest. Simmer slowly for another 30 minutes.
  2. Stir in cranberries, currants and orange juice. Boil for an additional 10 minutes.
