Cranberry Chutney
Ingredients
- 1 pc red onion Finely sliced
- 1 cup Water
- 3/4 cup Dark Brown Sugar
- 3/4 cup Cider Vinegar
- 2 pcs Medium Green Apples Peeled and diced
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1 tsp Grated Fresh Ginger
- 1/2 tsp Mace
- 1/2 tsp Curry Powder
- 3 Tbsp Orange Zest
- 340 g Dried Cranberries (Craisins)
- 1/2 cup Currants
- 1 cup Orange Juice
Instructions
- Bring water to boil. Stir in brown sugar. Add onions and simmer for 30 minutes. Stir in vinegar, apples, seasoning and zest. Simmer slowly for another 30 minutes.
- Stir in cranberries, currants and orange juice. Boil for an additional 10 minutes.
